Recommend the book "A Glove of Their Own" -- new children's book follows an underprivileged group of kids whose lack of equipment doesn't hamper their love of baseball.

When readers purchase this wonderfully illustrated, hard-cover book for $15.95 at www.agloveoftheirown.com they can select Cheerful Givers (code CHG 132) to receive a portion of the proceeds which allows less fortunate kids to receive a toy-filled birthday gift bag on their one special day. For more info, visit www.cheerfulgivers.org. Makes a wonderful holiday gift for any baseball fan or any child!

While not technically a baseball book, I'd like to suggest a book that is timely in the baseball just incorporated instant replay into the game. "instant Replay: The Day That Changed Sports Forever" is written by the guy that invented instant replay - Tony Verna - a long time vet of TV sports broadcasts with a very interesting story to tell.
